The Vienna Public Library is hosting a book party at 6:00p.m. March 22 for the series "The Hunger Games," a trilogy by Suzanne Collins about a girl living in the post-apocalyptic world.

 

"The books have a strong female character.  It's a good story of survival with a bit of a romantic interest, and everybody likes the story of an underdog," said Jane Cirigliano, coordinator for the book party.

 

The party will have several activities based on the book, including trivia games, Prizes will include food for everyone.

 

The book party targets youth ages 12 to 17.  She said the party celebrates the series and promotes reading.
